Hunter Valley Resort and Brewery Visit Review

Heading to the Hunter Valley means a trip home for me. Its the gateway to my parents property and a significant part of who I am…….guest contributor David Glover  writes.

The 5 best things I loved about the weekend

#1 – Family Friendly

Its not just for couples, we have three kids and the Hunter Valley Resort has 4 or 5 cabins that can accommodate a family like ours. Playing tennis next to the cabins in the morning was a lot of fun, and I did see they have a horse trail riding operation on site too!

#2 – The brewery and food

As well as the beautiful wine choices, I must admit, it was also nice to have a refreshing craft beer. This also complimented the delicious meal we had with it.

#3 – Breakfast Buffet

What can I say, the kids filled up one morning so much that they only had a snack for lunch, which they shared lol. We all thoroughly enjoyed the buffet, the choices seemed endless.

#4 – Value for Money

The Hunter Valley was fantastic value for money. The kids even enjoyed looking at the picturesque surroundings, seeing some of the old buildings, watching the hot air balloons floating overhead, tennis and golf just to name a few.

#5 – Location and Access to the Area

As we live up north, we were lucky enough to really see some awesome sites on our trip. Because of where the Hunter Valley is situated, we were able to come down the New England Highway enjoy our stay, then head back north on the Pacific Highway.

Overall Recommendation

I will definitely stay there again with the family. The layout, the access to everything, the standard of accommodation – were super. Whilst I like a great wine, I must admit that the tasting rack of the beer was a highlight for me!
